Key Club Offers Assistance to Seniors

Looking Ahead--The Key Club will again be offering Fall Cleanup this year.  Watch for news of this event on this website as well as in your local paper this fall.
Hillcrest Community center was resonating with a harmony of singing voices on Wednesday, May 14th. The Scarborough High School Choral Group directed by Suzanne Proulx, performed several group songs for the Senior WOW luncheon at Hillcrest Community Center. Following the group's wonderful performance, individual students sang solos that included several lively Broadway selections.  The captive audience was overjoyed and delighted. The WOW members invited the students to return often because everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon’s performances.


This was the second intergenerational activity the Senior WOW Program
has sponsored.  The first multigenerational event of the month was a day of reliving the May  Basket tradition with preschoolers from Bessworth Child Care on May 7th. The third event was a Teddy Bear Tea with the same preschool group on May 23rd.  It is hoped that relationships will continue to be forged through these interactions and that these events will promote volunteerism in all of Scarborough’s citizens both young and old.
